Wine and Food Package Tours

Umbria: delicious journey.

From Orvieto to Stroncone, from Amelia to Trasimeno Lake, there is a part of Umbria where everything speaks of wine at least since three thousand years. As the new world feels proud of its fifty-year-old vineyards, here, between the loops of the Tiber and Nera rivers, long since a thousand years, wine is being naturally produced, both in tufaceous or limestone soil, with different soil climates and with different aromas in the bottle.

Our journey through all inclusive "package tours " starts from Orvieto, the mythical "Oinaréa" of the Greeks , whose name, faithfully translated, means "the town where wine flows": all around there is a microcosm made up of medieval castles, Renaissance palaces, archaeological parks, Roman antiquities, underground towns, Etruscan roads cut in the tuff. We can add to these tourist destinations many naturalistic areas of great value and nature parks that consolidate the idea of "Umbria, the green heart of Italy".

The wine and food tourist will be therefore able to discover amazing places and unique flavors and to unwind the thread of the local material culture including many excellent products: the white truffle from Fabro, the Dop Umbria olive oil and its different sub-areas of production, 11 DOC and 2 DOCG Umbrian wines (summed up and displayed at the Regional Enoteca of Umbria in Orvieto), the high-quality meat, "chianina" and "porco cintato", game and poultry, with the goose standing out, organic vegetables, legumes like lentils, fava beans, the bean "Secondo del Piano" and the Fagiolina (little bean) from Trasimeno Lake, chickpeas or grass peas, saffron, first quality cheeses made with sheep or cow milk, fresh-water fishes having here a long and ancient tradition...

It will certainly be a delicious journey for everyone. Prosit!
